Question by nrd82: Why did Vernon White fair so well against Chuck Liddell…?
I know he lost, pretty descicively, but as tense and anxious as he was, also lacking experience on the UFC “stage”, why was he able to pose as much of a threat as he did? Does a striker of his caliber really pose a threat to Liddell. Please note: I’m not assuming that White is the best striker

The same Vernon White that got Ko’d and almost blew his leg up falling to the mat when Liddell hit him with that right???
Wrong forum, but I’ll give it a whirl.
I feel it was because White did a tremendous job of staying alive, and hanging in there. That is until Liddell landed the knockout punch.
First of all, wrong forum. Second, he got terribly owned, one of the more one-sided beatdowns I’ve ever seen, even for Chuck fights. He didn’t fair well at all.
