Question by Show me the TlTAAYSSS!: Why are there so many “fake” fighters out there?
Everywhere I go I see alot of losers wearing tapout or affliction clothes acting “tough”, I saw two today at the coffee shop hitting on 2 female workers. I go up to them and ask “Do you guys train MMA?” they’re like “Yeah we train UFC” I laugh and ask “What Martial arts do you train?” then one the idiots said “Bro we train UFC screw Martial arts” I just start laughing my butt off and they decide to get in my face pretending they wanted to fight so I ended up getting my coffee and leaving.
Why are there so many fake fighters out there? I swear I see so many of them nowadays and all of them are these young white guys with horrible tattoos. Why so many?

Being a fighter is just in season right now.. It has become a media craze and a trend everyone is following. I Started boxing four years ago, never had much interest in MMA, but I have noticed a crazy rise in MMA lately. It’s just because UFC has become so popular with the video games and series and other movies about MMA like never back down.
Tapout and Affliction are just in style right now, I wear skate shoes but gave up skating a long time ago and I don’t think I’m judged for it. They could be just fans too.. as for the tatoos.. young white men will always have terrible tatoos lol
The craze will probably blow over soon.. I’m hoping..

Because they think it makes them cool. I have been fighting for 7 years (just passed the 7 year mark) well before MMA blew up here in the states liek it did. Back then you would never have people posing.
Now they think it makes them cool, pimpin, bad@ss whatever you want to call it. Out of ten people that claim they are fighters, maybe one of them is.
Like the above comment it is jut in season. If for some reason polo became popular like MMA everyone would be a polo player…etc.
Maybe they don’t train MMA, they were just saying that to impress the girl, even if they were lies. They oviously sound like they know nothing about mma. But they sound like real jerks, that’s why I like how Dana White cuts guys if he didn’t like their attitude, even if they are really good fighters he’ll cut them.
Damn If I was hitting on some female workers and some hater came up and tried to throw salt in my game I’d beat him to death. I don’t wear tapout or affliction and I don’t cock block other dudes over sum bullsh*t.
They were probably just fans, if I where a baseball hat you wouldn’t come up to me and say what team do I play for. Many tapout fans can’t back up what they wear, but they might just like the style, they are cool shirts.
