What do you think? Answer below!
You cannot install operating systems on phones. The phone either comes with the OS or it doesnt. Its not like a windows mobile update from 5.1 to 6.0.
Android is easily portable, theye are working on several of them. For instance port for OMAP3 processors that are used in Palm will make it possible to install android on Palm Pre. It has been ported by hackers on several other smartphones, netbooks and PDAs like Nokia N810, HTC Titan, Sharp Zaurus etc
To the previous poster, there is only 1 official Android Phone today (not 7) and that is T-Mobile G1. There are several announced ones, most of them will be displayed on WMC in Barcelona starting from 16th FEB 2009
In theory Android can run on any HTC ( check XDA-developers.org) but you need to port it for every device.
