Question by Jay B: How do i keep getting so close to winning the grand prize on lottery tickets when i never win anything?
i do not play the lotto often and i do not fall for that “mega millions” scam where you enter for a chance to win over 100 – 300 million dollars, but i occasionaly buy a $ 2 lotto ticket. and a few times i almost win the grand prize, but ironically i have not won a single dollar from those scratch offs out of the 12 or so times i have played in the last 2 years.
today i almost won $ 10,000. i was playing this game where i have to reveal coin values and they have to add up to $ 1 or more, i got up to 91 cents in a game where the prize was $ 10,000.

So what? I’m sure all the losing tickets add up to close to $ 1. That’s the way they make them.
What makes you think you were close?
You really don’t get it, do you?
You ever play those “match 3 like prizes and win”, and then 2 of them are the big prize and the 3rd wasn’t there? They are all like that.
(Sorry to make your world come crashing down)
Funny that you are losing the exact same amount (all that you play) as if you played the “scams” that you seem so proud to avoid.
What do you think? Answer below!
Non-winning scratch tickets are always “close” to winning. It makes it look like you had a chance to win and, by extension, makes the player excited and possibly willing to play again.
This is either a total joke, or you are the biggest fool that’s ever walked the planet.
I’m going to imagine that you are just joking.
OF COURSE nobody would REALLY believe that they “almost won” on any scratch tickets!
There is a simple formula to figure out how much money you’ll “win” on scratch tickets: Just take every dollar you plan on spending and multiply that figure by 1/2. That’s how much you’ll “win” back.
In other words, if you spend $ 1,000 on scratch tickets today, you’ll likely “win” only around $ 500 back.
At 50%, this makes buying scratch tickets the WORST bet anyone can possibly make.
