i think that would be because rock isn’t the top choice right now. the thing most teens are listening to is pop and rap. (my ears bleed every time i go near a high school)
i was a Chris Daughtry fan but he only made it to fourth place. (that season was definitely rigged)
i don’t think it is about masculinity so much as the majority of people’s choice in music.
but i don’t think he would make it far, but then again look at Taylor Hicks. he won.

Probably not far since today’s teens are listening to these pathetic singers and songs that are apparently “music”. It’s just not fair. He’d probably end since he sung country, blues, rock, etc. It’s not in. I’m sure if Lil Wayne got on there and rapped, he’d win the show. How pathetic.

I think he would definately come first ! There was something very captivating and original about Elvis and I think everyone would fall in love with him because he was so charming and charismatic. However, i dont think his career would be as successful as it was. Elvis always said that when music changed that he would change with it and thats what he did because he was such a versatile and open minded singer and he wasnt afraid to try out other styles of music or be different. He could also completely change the sound of his voice from one song to another ! I definately think that anyone with a voice half as beautiful as Elvis’ voice would definately win american idol because ELvis’ voice is so unique. He was also really good looking and I think every girl in the world would go crazy over him just like they did back in the late 50s ! Elvis is was and always will be THE KING !
